Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement on Twitter, "Tonight, a 7-year-old girl in Austin joined a list of teenagers and children whose hopes and dreams were ended by the barrel of a gun. Atlanta also saw a violent weekend where at least 20 people were injured in shootings and three were killed, including an eight-year-old girl who was fatally shot across the street from the Wendy's restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed by police. (USA Today)
