TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- Usually when you buy memorabilia and collectibles, you're getting ripped off. At least with this auction, you're getting ripped off for a cause.
- Last year, an old coffee grinder that Snoop Dogg used to break up his weed was auctioned off. I wonder how they'll top that.
- Hip-hop is still seriously underrepresented in the Grammy Hall of Fame. There are hundreds and hundreds of rock acts but only a handful of rappers.
- Hip-hop is still a young genre. Give it time and the Grammys will either catch up or risk becoming irrelevant.
