NLE Choppa believes he's the "Michael Jackson of Hip-Hop."

The Memphis native made the bold statement in a social post he uploaded on Sunday night, September 15. His post featured a video from his recent performance in Canada, in which he showed off his energetic dance moves to the tune of his hit "Slut Me Out 2." The crowd roared and recited every word of the song as he dominated the stage with some slick footwork and his version of the moonwalk.

"Micheal Jackson Of Hip Hop. Point Blank Period 🤷🏽‍♂️," he wrote in his caption.

On X, Choppa compared himself to other legends like "Rick James, Elvis Presley & Prince." His captions received mixed reactions from fans. Some people actually agreed with him and credited him for his vibrant energy on stage. One fan even said he was better than MJ.

"Mike jack is a drag but u doin ya thang tho," one fan wrote on Instagram.

Other people weren't convinced. Several fans cracked on the 21-year-old rapper for comparing himself to the King of Pop. However, some commentators did agree that he was more like a young Rick James.

"No Sir! You Are New and Improved Rick James 😂😂😂" another fan commented.

NLE Choppa inserted his name in the MJ comparison conversation after he lashed out at Complex for not including him in the outlet's top 20 rappers in their 20's list. The Cottonwood 2 artist took to social media and vented his frustrations about being left off the list.

“Whoever made that Complex list, I just want to let you know something: your a** need to go do rock and roll or some other s**t,” Choppa said. "See, I been tucking my tail. I been trying to be more positive. I’ve been trying to be more of a light for these people. But y’all got me f**ked up. Y’all keep playing with me.”
