G Herbo Charged In Fraud Scheme, Accused Of Using Stolen ID For Jets & More

G Herbo is facing federal charges in connection with a massive fraud scheme.

According to multiple outlets, the Chicago-born rapper, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, and five of his associates are being accused of using “dark web sites” to obtain stolen credit card information, which they allegedly used to go on fancy vacations, fly on private jets and buy "designer puppies" over the last four years.

Herbo is charged with wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, according to the indictment, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts. Also charged in the scheme are Joseph Williams, Antonio Strong, Steven Hayes Jr., Demario Sorrells and Terrence Bender, the Chicago Sun Times reports.

“Generally, because the defendants and their co-conspirators provided authentic payment card information, the defrauded businesses and individuals successfully processed their transactions and provided the goods and services,” the 14-count indictment states.

Herbo and his crew would allegedly "pass the stolen information to each other through texts, social media messages, emails and phone calls."

Following news of Herbo's charges, a rep for the ''PTSD" rapper told TMZ: "[G Herbo] maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court. Herbo has legal representation in Massachusetts via Prince Lobel, whose team has reached out to the US Attorney’s office in Massachusetts to make arrangements for Herbo's appearance. G Herbo will appear in Massachusetts whenever he is required either in person or via Zoom."
