Drake Responds To Criticism Over His 'Disrespectful' Courtside Antics

Ummm, it's safe to say, Drake thinks anyone who has anything negative to say about the way in which he supports his Toronto Raptors is simply "salty."

On Wednesday (May 22), Champagne Papi made it clear that he couldn't care less about those slamming him for his... let's just call it, "animated" courtside behavior during the past few games of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Toronto Raptors Eastern Conference Finals, by captioning an Instagram photo of him mid-scream with a crying laughing emoji, a shrugging emoji, and a hilarious salt shaker emoji.

If that wasn't enough to respond to critics who have slammed him for his "taunting," "heckling," and courtside "clowning" (like I said, animated behavior), Drake additionally liked a fan's comment in support of his boisterous backing of his home team and shared it to his Instagram story. "Sports media needs to accept the simple rule the Miami Hurricanes signed into law back [in] the 80s: if you don't want the opposing team to celebrate and dance, prevent them from scoring, winning, or achieving their objective. Get over it and keep it moving," read the comment.

As fans know, earlier in the day, the head coach of the Bucks, Mike Budenholzer, spoke out about Drake's behavior following Game 4 of the series. "I don't know of any person that's attending the game that isn't a participant in the game [...] a player or a coach, that has access to the court," he told reporters, according to ESPN. "I don't know how much he's on the court. It sounds like you guys are saying it's more than I realize. There's certainly no place for fans and, you know, whatever it is exactly that Drake is for the Toronto Raptors. You know, to be on the court, there's boundaries and lines for a reason, and like I said, the league is usually pretty good at being on top of stuff like that."

And the Drake-bashing didn't end there. Prior to Mike's comments, Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo's former agent, Georgios Dimitropoulos, called the "In My Feelings" rapper out by posing a hypothetical situation that was clearly about Drizzy Drake's clowning of Giannis. "Imagine a gig & an athlete on VIP seats, right next to the band, stands up on the stage just to show off during the entire game, knowing cameras are on him, occasionally even massaging the singer," Georgios wrote in a since-deleted post on Twitter. "Security&him both allow it. Never seen anything as disrespectful as this before..."
