DOJ To Investigate Missing FBI Text Messages

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says the Department of Justice will investigate thousands of missing text messages exchanged between two FBI staffers who were critical of President Trump.  FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page texted back and forth about Trump during the election.  AG Sessions said on Monday more than 50,000 missing texts cover a period of several months.

Strzok has since been removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating the alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
