A 25-year-old man in China who stayed up late to watch the World Cup has died of sleep deprivation.
The man was found dead at his home, in front of the TV, with a soccer game still playing. Because of an 11-hour time difference, World Cup games from Brazil are shown live in China between midnight and 6 a.m.
Doctors at the hospital said his death may have been linked to staying up late to watch the game. Exhaustion or a heart attack may have also been factors.
Doctors are warning fans in China to be "cautious about their health" while watching late night games. (UPI)
